Position Title: Service to Armed Forces/Service to Military Families Coordinator

Reports to: Emergency Services Director

Position Summary:

The SAF/SMF Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Chapter’s outreach to military families in the community and the Chapter’s Service to Military Families programming and for achieving the goals of the Chapter’s FY 2010 SAF Grant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote Red Cross Service to Military Family programs in the community

• Develop plan to educate military families about Red Cross Service to Military Families

• Develop outreach plan to identify military families in the community

• Present quarterly Get To Know Us presentations

• Establish and facilitate monthly Military Family Network meetings

• Establish collaborative partnerships with community partners to deliver needed assistance and resources to military families

• Maintain all required records and reports for FY 2010 SAF Grant

• Other duties as required to accomplish program goals

Education and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree with relevant organizational experience or the equivalent combination in education and experience is required. . This position requires outstanding relationship building, leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills, as well as planning, evaluation, writing and analytical ability. Must be computer literate. Limited travel may be required.
