The Clara Barton Society, established in our chapter in 2006, recognizes
those individuals who have generously given $1,000 or more.
Society members receive our chapter newsletter, a certificate of membership and recognition pin and are removed from any direct mail solicitations and invited to attend the annual Clara Barton Society banquet. In addition to these benefits, members' names are included on the Clara Barton Society members wall at our chapter building as well as our annual report. Membership in the Clara Barton Society makes you an active partner in carrying out the work of the Red Cross. As a society member, you will learn exactly how your contribution is being used to help people in need of Red Cross services.Clara BartonNo name better symbolizes the spirit of caring and of active volunteerism than Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross. The human devastation of the Civil War both horrified her and ignited her determination to make a lasting difference. Whether tending the wounded on the battlefield or making impassioned pleas to Lincoln's White House on behalf of those in urgent need, Clara Barton moved the nation. She brought the fledgling International Red Cross Movement to America, with its dedication to easing human suffering and its reliance on voluntary support. The Clara Barton Society honors Americans who share her caring and commitment through their generous support of the American Red Cross. |
